I wanted to better understand why our endangered species are disappearing at a staggering pace, seemingly without concern from a global community.

"Breaking Their Silence: Women on the Frontline of the Poaching War"

There is a lens through which this catastrophe has yet to be examined: through the eyes of the dynamic women who are fighting silently on the frontlines. Daily they risk their lives to protect our endangered wildlife. Filmmaker, Kerry David, and her small but passionate crew spent the better part of 2018 traveling the world to document some of conservation's most extraordinary and courageous women. “I was hoping the women I met would trust me enough to "break their silence" and we were stunned at the extent they were prepared to speak out.  We were given unparalleled access along the way to help amplify their work. This film is about perspectives - we have come to a deeper understanding of the complexities of this crisis and what we ended up documenting could never have been scripted!  We can't wait for you to meet these women!”
