Pangolins are still the most endangered mammal. They are poached for their scales, their claws and their meat. Too often pangolins die after being poached because they cannot survive in captivity. They are harmless creatures that curl up in a ball at the first sign of a predator approaching. Their scales then engage and they look like a spiky ball!
